CUFA’s 2013 MAD Day was another great success with a number of Mutuals across Australia getting involved in the day that makes a difference.

This year’s event raised money for CUFA’s Village Entrepreneur program with the aim of raising enough funds to support more villagers in need in Cambodia and Timor Leste.

Funds are still being collected but thanks to the wonderful fundraising efforts of all the Mutuals involved, more Village Entrepreneurs are now receiving much needed support and are now on the road to sustainability.

CUFA hold MAD Day each year to celebrate the movement and make a difference to those living in poverty throughout the Asia Pacific region. This year’s event coincided with Anti-Poverty Week – a nationwide movement that aims to highlight and overcome the issues that cause poverty in both Australia and overseas.

Thank you to all the wonderful Mutuals that got involved in the day!

MAD Day will be on again next year on October 16 – so if you missed out this year, save the date!
