Applications open – CUFA’s awards and scholarships program

Have you always wanted to do something to help those less fortunate? Do you want to do something different and exciting this year? Are you an exceptional employee at your Mutual? Then our Awards and Scholarships program is for you.

CUFA are proud to be the development organisation for the Australian Mutual movement and to provide the staff of Australian Mutuals with the opportunity to engage in our life-changing programs.

CUFA have a number of Awards and Scholarships that are open to all levels of the organisation from Directors to staff.

The Kevin Yates Award, donated by the Credit Union Archives, is awarded to a CEO or Director (past or present) of a Mutual to share their skills and knowledge with developing credit unions. This is open to anyone who is/has been a CEO or Director of a Mutual and has shown commitment to the credit union philosophy. Applications are now open.

The Harry Zaphir Scholarship, sponsored by TSWG, is awarded to an emerging leader of the Mutual movement to travel to Cambodia to engage with CUFA’s Village Entrepreneur program and help members of rural credit unions start up and expand their small businesses.

The NGS Super Scholarship, donated by NGS Super, is awarded to an NGS Super member who works for a Mutual to attend one of CUFA’s Leadership Programs in Fiji or Cambodia.

The Steve Birt Scholarship, is awarded to an individual who is of Indigenous Australian or Torres Strait Islander background to attend one of CUFA’s education programs.
