Applications open for the Russian Credit Union Exchange Program

Members of Australia’s mutual movement are invited to apply to participate in the inaugural Australian-Russian Credit Union Exchange Program.

A joint collaboration between CUFA and the Russian Credit Union League, this reciprocal professional exchange offers you the unique opportunity to spend just over two weeks in Russia in March 2015.

Selected participants will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the annual Russian Credit Union Forum where they’ll have the opportunity to engage with industry leaders in the Russian Credit Union community.

Following the forum, the Australian volunteer will accompany the CEO of Ural-Finance Credit Union to Chelyabinsk and spend a further two weeks working closely with the credit union to engage with key stakeholders to develop creative solutions to the challenges faced by Ural-Finance Credit Union.

This memorable experience will be invaluable to both your personal and professional development. You will broaden your professional expertise, expand your international network and hone your knowledge on the foreign mutual movements.

The program is tailored for professionals currently working in the Australian mutual movement and is designed to strengthen the relationship between the Russian and Australian mutual movements, as well as to broaden your professional expertise.

The program is designed to facilitate idea exchange, promote foreign language development, enhance cultural diversity and improve problem-solving skills as they relate to the global mutual movement development and management.

We encourage you to apply if you are:

  • Committed to a two week exchange period and have approval from your employer.
  • A leader or emerging leader in your field, with a demonstrated record and interest in effecting positive change in your institution and community.
  • Pursuing a career in the mutual movement and are self-directed and able to work effectively in a cross cultural setting.

Reciprocal exchange conditions

As this is an exchange program, your financial institution must be willing to host a professional from a Russian credit union. All travel and in-country expenses are to be covered by the participant’s institution in Australia, with in-country support provided by the Russian hosting institution.

Host Credit Union: Ural-Finance, Chelyabinsk City, Oblast, Russia

This is an unique professional development opportunity that should not be missed.
