MAD Day Success 2014

Last year’s celebration was always going to be hard to beat. But this year, CUFA supporters raised a record amount.

By Cynara Moorhouse and Amy Zhuang

Last month credit unions and other institutions such as QBE and Macquarie Banking Group joined CUFA in celebration of MAD Day to fight global poverty. As usual, we had a range of wacky, fun and yummy events. If you have not seen the pictures from our participants, it is not too late – just click here.

Thanks to our generous supporters in donating their time and money in organising and participating in these fabulous events, we have been able to raised a record amount of approximately $10,000!

CUFA sends a special thanks to our star fundraisers:

  • Snezana Novakovic of Teacher’s Mutual Bank.
  • Katie Preston of Queenslanders Credit Union and
  • Kevin Chen of Macquarie Group.

Thanks to all the people who made this MAD day such a huge success. The money you raised helps us run programs that fight poverty in the Asia Pacific.
