Save

Saving is a powerful tool to escape poverty. As such, it’s critically important to teach financial literacy and positive savings habits in children from a young age, instilling behavioral changes which will help to lead generations of vulnerable households out of intergenerational poverty.

Cufa’s Children’s Financial Literacy Program works to build positive savings habits in primary school children and have them planning for their futures with their finances in mind. We encourage the parents to save as well, so that they may inspire positive change in their children just as their children have for them.

On the strength of many years of successful financial literacy programming in Cambodian schools, the Royal Government of Cambodia has asked Cufa to integrate financial literacy into the official national school curriculum.
