During the recent visit to Cambodia, senior representatives from our major corporate donor, TMBL, had the chance to visit our Children’s Financial Literacy (CFL), Livelihoods and ASPIRE project areas and meet the incredible people that benefit from our support. During the CFL program visit, the delegation joined a class in progress, enjoyed a friendly exchange with class members, and had the opportunity to learn from the schools’ directors.
The delegation then visited the ASPIRE program areas, meeting several entrepreneurs involved in the program. This included visits to several farms as well as small shop-holders. The team were able to better understand the experience of the entrepreneurs; hear how the program has benefited them and their families’ lives; and learn about their hopes for the future.
The delegation capped off their journey by visiting a Community Social Enterprise (CSE) producing soap products under our Livelihoods Program. The CSE showcased their products and talked extensively about their experience with COVID-19, and the business opportunities and the challenges that it had created.
Cufa thanks both the community social enterprises, entrepreneurs and the school for their hospitality, and we thank TMBL for their continued support of our programs.
